Three steps to a compliant image

  1. Confirm the spec — pick a platform above, or search for the platform name plus "main image size". Spec pages state the requirement down to the pixel and the KB ceiling.
  2. Open the tool with a preset — the button on a spec page writes the platform and spec into the tool URL (/tool/?p=platform&r=spec), so the fields are already filled in.
  3. Export and verify — the tool scales proportionally, fills #FFFFFF on white-background specs, compresses under the byte cap, and shows the real file size before you download.

Why you can trust these numbers

Every spec records the page it came from and the date it was checked, and the original link sits on the spec page — not a rule of thumb someone remembered. Some sources are vendor or industry write-ups rather than official docs, so every page repeats the same caveat: your seller dashboard wins. The check date tells you how fresh a number is.

Output is driven by the spec: sizes land on exact pixel values like 800×800, padding is filled pure white on white-background specs, and the KB ceiling is validated against real bytes after export.
